Dr. Steven Harrison

Dr. Harrison, DC, DACNB, had the rare benefit of knowing he wanted to be a chiropractor at the age of 14. After completing high school, he attended Michigan State University, studying pre-medicine in the College of Natural Science. After completing his pre-chiropractic requirements, he matriculated to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri. Dr. Steven Harrison graduated from Logan University with a bachelor’s degree in human biology and Doctor of Chiropractic at the age of 23. He later received his acupuncture certification through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 2011, after training at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. He has extensive postgraduate training in Functional Medicine and Clinical Nutrition through DABCI (Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists) University, making him eligible to sit for the internist exam and the Clinical Board of Nutrition exam. Dr. Harrison has also had in-depth postgraduate functional blood chemistry training. Dr. Harrison became board-certified in neurology in 2019 through the American Chiropractic Neurology Board after training through the prestigious Carrick Institute in Port Canaveral, Florida. Dr. Carrick is a leading global expert in functional neurology with a strong emphasis on post-traumatic brain injuries and vestibular issues. Dr. Harrison’s focus was on functional neurology applications for post-traumatic brain injuries and neurodegenerative disease. He continues his training in functional neurology and is working on obtaining his fellowship through the International Board of Functional Neurologists. Dr. Harrison consults with patients locally in his Ocoee, Florida office, where he has maintained his private practice since 1997, and globally by phone or Skype. His treatment programs involve taking a very in-depth history and review of the body’s systems. He then uses specific diagnostic testing to discover potential underlying causes of your health problem, allowing him to customize a plan.
